Step 1: Interview

We’ll get started with a discussion about the type of website that’s going to be the best for you and your customers. We’ll ask you to answer a few questions that will point us in the right direction towards a website that will look great while delivering the content your customers expect to find.

Step 2: Content Document

Before we can get started with visualizing your website we like to wrangle (as we say) the text, photos and graphics into a content document for later use in the design process. This gives us a chance to decide what information should go where and on what pages.

Step 3: Website Hosting

If you don’t have a domain name or a host provider for your website then now’s the time to set these up. We can do this for you. If you already have a domain name and a website host provider give us your account logins so we can verify your hosting package and make sure it’s tuned up for maximum impact when we launch your new website.

Step 4: Design Direction

This is the moment you’ve been waiting for when we put our creative design skills to work and visualize your website. We’ll incorporate the knowledge gained in Steps 1 and 2 and produce storyboards. You’ll see options that will suggest the style and tone of the website usually beginning with the homepage. We’ll explore theme concepts, fonts, colors, arrangement of text and navigation. What we’re most interested in achieving is a design direction that we can evolve as development continues.

Step 5: Construction Site

With the Design Study complete, our next step is to setup a construction site. You’ll be able to monitor our progress 24/7. We welcome comments from you that will keep us moving in the right direction.

Step 6: Development

We’re now into the full on page to page design and development of your website. We start from the bottom with a solid code bed and work our way to the top with visualization. We believe in evolving the visual design at the same time we’re coding so we can make improvements to every aspect of the website all the way to launch day!

Step 7: Review and Refine

There will come a time when we feel like we’re ready to move the website into it’s final phase. Before we do we’ll ask you to take a review of the website and tell us what you think. We’ll take what we gained from your review, make changes and refinements and keep going!

Step 8: Beta Testing

By this step we’ll have the design and development locked in. We’ll perform a final check to make sure your website looks and loads great on the most popular desktop browsers and smart phones.

Step 9: Website Launch

It’s now time for the big moment when your website goes live! We’ll migrate the website from our construction server to your host provider and switch on the lights! Immediately after your website goes live we’ll setup Google Analytics to track your website’s performance. Next, we’ll enter keywords and descriptions and present your website properly to the most popular search engines. Last but not least, we’ll coach your through how to make changes to the website yourself. And we’ll be standing by to manage any emergency that should occur or to make future updates. Just call us!

Step 10: Follow Up

We like to know if the website we’ve built is everything you and customers hoped for. We’ll check in with you every three months to see how it’s performing. We also can extend the look of the website into other promotional media so you have a solid brand impression.
