Zorimar Concepción joined the team of Cheeley Law Group on 2018, after her husband was relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. She is a licensed lawyer in Puerto Rico with more than 14 years of experience in the areas of complex commercial civil litigation, insurance law, construction law, administrative law, labor and employment law, credit disputes, real estate, personal injury, medical malpractice, arbitration, torts, and contractual disputes. In addition to her involvement in nearly all specialized areas of business and civil law within Puerto Rico, she has been engaged in several collection actions and has a broad litigation experience in general civil and commercial litigation before the judicial and administrative forums in Puerto Rico, at trial and appellate levels. She has worked in some of Puerto Rico’s top law firms, where she has had the opportunity to represent various multinational insurance companies, including the top ranking surety company in Puerto Rico; two of the main credit agencies in the U.S.; a variety of hospitals, physicians and odontologists; and two of the major financial institutions in Puerto Rico.
Zorimar received her Juris Doctor degree from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law in 2004, and her Bachelor of Science in General Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in 2000. She is an active member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association, currently admitted to practice in the Courts of the Commonwealth of PR, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Furthermore, Zorimar and her husband have two children, with whom they enjoy spending time, playing sports, and traveling. They are members of the St. Benedict parish. Zorimar’s interests include reading, writing, languages, traveling, watching international movies, baking, and volleyball. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
